Supporting #JoonAndYouthForArt: Creating an Empowering Community of Future Young Leaders in Haiti Through the Arts and Education
RM’s love for arts is no secret, and that’s why ARMY wanted to support organizations related to art and culture for his birthday fundraiser. With this, One In An ARMY invites you to celebrate RM’s birthday by supporting Art Creation Foundation for Children (ACFFC).
About Art Creation Foundation for Children
Art Creation Foundation for Children (ACFFC) is an organization based in Jacmel, Haiti that uses art and education to empower children and teenagers who are experiencing extreme poverty. ACFFC believes that art can inspire the youth to be independent and productive members of society. By developing the competency of children and teenagers in various art mediums such as mosaic painting, papier-mache, and photography, the foundation nurtures their confidence and self-sufficiency in crafting their own future. The youth they have helped often return as alumni to conduct art programs for the children.
Aside from in-house art programs, ACFFC plays a vital role in ensuring the education and personal development of children and teenagers under their foundation. They run a feeding program that provides meals once a day during the school week, and twice a day on Saturdays and during the summer. Additionally, ACFFC’s education program pays for the tuition, uniforms, and other necessary school supplies for all their children and teenagers. The foundation also has its own after-school curriculum, which teaches children and teenagers critical thinking and collaboration among others.
How to Contribute to the Campaign
Through ARMYs’ support, the foundation would be able to continuously hold art programs that would hone children’s and teenagers’ skills in different art mediums such as mosaic painting, fabric painting, and photography. Together with ACFFC, let’s create a meaningful impact on the lives of Jacmel’s children and teenagers!
