Flash Fundraiser for Kim Taehyung’s Birthday: Offer a #HelpingHandWithTae to People Around the World Needing Mechanical Prosthetic Hands
For Taehyung’s birthday fundraiser this year, ARMY voted for Special Needs Support as the cause they would like to support. Keeping this in mind, let’s celebrate Tae’s special day with a flash fundraiser for LN4 Hand Project.
About LN4 Hand Project
Since last fifteen years, LN4 Hand Project has been supporting individuals, who suffer from limb loss due to diseases requiring amputation or because of accidents or traumatic incidents, in gaining access to mechanical prosthetic hands. They manufacture a durable yet rudimentary prosthetic hand with no electric parts and have already produced and assembled 57,000 LN4 hands. LN4 Hand Project wants everyone who requires a prosthetic hand to have one, regardless of their socioeconomic status or ability to pay. LN4 Ambassadors have carried LN4 hands to almost every corner of the globe, spanning 80 countries and counting.
Limb loss has affected millions of people across the world, and many countries are in great need of free prosthetic hands. LN4’s free prosthetic hands provide an increased sense of independence and confidence for those who rely on them. The recipients are also reminded of their intrinsic value to the world through these hands. However, because of COVID-19, LN4 Hand Project currently can’t hold their usual group fitting events in the countries they’ve given hands in. This situation doesn’t stop them from trying to get and fit as many LN4 hands as possible to their recipients despite the pandemic.
